Support for the Children’s Hospital
To make waiting time more pleasant for visitors at the University Children’s Hospital in Freiburg, the employees of Drees & Sommer and Gassmann + Grossmann Baumanagement GmbH (g²) – Part of Drees & Sommer gave the building’s hallway, lobby and waiting area a facelift.

When you go to hospital, you often hear, “Please take a seat in the waiting area.” In this situation, a pleasant environment can help cheer up or reassure patients, especially children.
For this reason – and because it was important for the team from the Freiburg regional office to help on a personal level as well as providing material support – they spent their free time renovating the waiting and lounge area together.
The voluntary activities included repainting the walls to match the clinic’s existing color concept. The construction experts also supported the Children’s Hospital by donating new play equipment for the young patients.
As experts and site supervisors, the colleagues from g² will also be supporting the construction of the new Children’s Hospital over the next two years.
